Juncker says European refugee policies will be implemented

European Commission President JeanClaude Juncker said on Wednesday that the European Union refugee policy is going to be implemented.

Juncker, in remarks published by German newspaper Bild, pointed out that the European migration policies, defended by German Chancellor Angela Merkel and him, will “prevail”.

The senior European politician added that the refugee crisis, like the debt crisis, can only be solved jointly, noting “anything else is capitulation to the populists.”

Juncker told the same newspaper that the implementation of all measures, agreed upon in the past weeks and months, would take time to have an effect.
