English actress Keira Knightley and musician husband James Righton are parents for the first time, reported U.S. entertainment media People and US Weekly on Wednesday.

The gender of the baby has not been revealed, and while the actors’ representatives did not confirmed the place of birth, media reports said the baby was born in London.

The pregnancy of the twotime Oscar nominee (‘Pride and Prejudice’ in 2005 and ‘The Imitation Game’ in 2014) was confirmed in December 2014.

Thirtyyearold Knightley married Righton, singer and keyboardist of the band Klaxons, in May 2013 in southern France.

The actress who shot to fame with the Pirates of the Caribbean saga has always kept a low profile and has avoided discussing her pregnancy.

She first spoke of it during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“There isn’t an option to sort of keep it in. Is there? So I’m assuming my plan is to get it out,” she said amid smiles.

Knightley and Righton first made their relationship public in 2011.
