The legendary rock band KISS, which has released 44 albums and sold over 100 million copies are celebrating their long history with the launch of a special edition of “Love Gun,” their career’s sixth album that was originally released in 1977.

After recently releasing the compilation album “Kiss 40,” a tribute to their 40yearsplus career, the band, formed by Paul Stanley (vocals and guitar), Gene Simmons (bass), Tommy Thayer (guitar) and drummer Eric Singer followed it up with “Love Gun,” that contains classics such as “Plaster Caster,” “Shock me,” “Christine Sixteen,” and the album’s eponymous title track.

The 1977 album “Love Gun”, which features solo performances by every member of the original quartet (composed of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley), has sold over 4 million copies.

The “Deluxe” edition includes unreleased versions of songs like “Tomorrow and Tonight,” “Much Too Soon” and “Reputation,” as well as three live tracks from a performance at The Capitol Centre in Landover, Maryland, U.S. on Dec. 1977; it also contains an interview with Gene Simmons from that same year, according to a statement by Universal, the band’s distributing label.

Currently, the band, about to finish their 40th anniversary tour, is scheduled to give nine performances at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, starting on Nov. 5.
