The Brazil show was the third presentation of the brand’s modernist collection, and was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) in the Niteroi neighborhood of the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Area, designed by famed Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.

Brazilian celebrities including models Alessandra Ambrosio and Isabeli Fontana, actor Bruno Gagliasso, actresses Cleo Pires and Sophie Charlotte, and television host Sabrina Sato also attended the show.

Louis Vuitton CEO Michael Burke said Rio de Janeiro was chosen as the venue for the label’s third fashion show as all eyes are now on the city, with the Olympic Games 2016 only a few months away.

It was the first time in its 20 years of operation that the MAC served as a backdrop for a fashion show.

The museum is currently preparing for a reopening after undergoing a series of renovations.

The Maison Louis Vuitton will support the museum’s artistic programming for one year with four exhibitions.
