Carson Palmer passed for 363 yards and three touchdowns to lead the visiting Arizona Cardinals to a 3932 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, who now face an uphill task in trying to reach the playoffs for the fourth straight season.

The Cardinals (72) won their third straight game to stretch their NFC West lead to three games over the St. Louis Rams and Seahawks.

Arizona responded with two fourthquarter touchdowns after the Seahawks had rallied from a 227 halftime deficit to briefly take the lead with 13:08 remaining in Sunday night’s game at CenturyLink Field in Seattle.

Palmer passed to tight end Jermaine Gresham for a 12yard score with 8:45 left in the contest, and then Andre Ellington rushed for a 48yard touchdown that with the extra point gave the Cardinals a 3929 lead with just over two minutes remaining.

After the Cardinals dominated the first half, the Seahawks outscored the visitors 223 over a 17minute span, which linebacker Bobby Wagner capped off by recovering a Palmer fumble and returning it 22 yards for a touchdown to make the score 2925.

Palmer completed 29 of 48 pass attempts for 363 yards and threw for three touchdowns, although he also had two balls stripped out of his hands and tossed one interception, ending the game with a quarterback rating of 96.1.

Seattle counterpart Russell Wilson struggled against the Cardinals’ defense, completing just 14 of 32 pass attempts for 240 yards, throwing for one touchdown and allowing one interception for a QB rating of just 67.2.

The Seahawks won the championship in the 20132014 season and narrowly lost last season’s Super Bowl to the New England Patriots, but their current record of 45 leaves them little margin for error over their remaining seven regularseason games.
