Spain’s Amancio Ortega becomes world’s richest man, says Forbes magazine
Amancio Ortega, founder of Inditex fashion group was placed first as the richest man in the world, with a fortune of $79.6 billion, according to Forbes list.
The fashion group has several brands like Zara, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Stardivarious, Zara Home, Oysho and Uterque.
The Spanish businessman was fallowed by cofounder of Microsoft Bill Gates ($78.1 billion) and, in third place, Warren Buffett, the owner of Berkshire Hathaway ($64.4 billion).
They are followed on the list of the largest fortunes in the world by Mexico’s Carlos Slim ($62.5 billion), the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos ($49.9 billion), and the creator of Oracle, Larry Ellison ($47.6 billion).
