The Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies remained unbeaten early in the NBA season with victories over the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix Suns, respectively, while the Cleveland Cavaliers continued to struggle.

Star point guard Stephen Curry poured in 28 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Warriors to a 121104 home win Wednesday night over the Clippers at Oracle Arena.

Golden State moved to 40 with the victory, its best start to a season in 20 years, while the Clippers fell to 32.

The muchanticipated clash of Western Conference rivals proved to be a onesided affair, with the Warriors scoring at will and looking unstoppable in all facets of the game under the guidance of new head coach Steve Kerr.

The Grizzlies, meanwhile, moved to 50 after getting a strong overall team effort in their 10291 road victory Wednesday night over the Phoenix Suns at the U.S. Airways Center,

Point guard Mike Conley led the Grizzlies’ attack, scoring 24 points and handing out 11 assists, while backcourt mate Courtney Lee added 22 points and Spanish center Marc Gasol and power forward Zach Randolph notched 18 points and 10 points, respectively.

Along with the 50 Houston Rockets, the Warriors and the Grizzlies are the only undefeated teams remaining in the 20142015 NBA season.

The big surprise of the night occurred at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City, where the Utah Jazz edged LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers 102100.

Jazz forward Gordon Hayward, who finished the night with 21 points, hit the gamewinner at the buzzer to touch off a big oncourt celebration.

The Cavaliers, who lost their second straight game to fall to 13, got 34 points from point guard Kyrie Irving and 31 points from James, but only four other Cleveland players scored at all in what was a strikingly unbalanced offensive effort.
