Wiz Khalifa’s See You Again is 2015’s most successful music video on YouTube

Rapper Wiz Khalifa’s See You Again, which features as a soundtrack in the movie Furious 7 as homage to deceased actor Paul Walker, is the most successful YouTube video of the year, the company owning the videosharing site said Tuesday.

The song, featuring Charlie Puth, has received more than 1.2 billion hits on Khalifa’s official account on YouTube.

Sugar by Maroon 5 is in second place, followed by Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do.

The list also includes Major Lazer & DJ Snake (Lean On); Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar (Bad Blood); David Guetta with Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha and Afrojack (Hey Mama); Sia with Shia LaBeouf and Maddie Ziegler (Elastic Heart); Fifth Harmony with Kid Ink (Worth It); Adele (Hello) and Silento (Watch Me).

Adele’s Hello became the video to get the fastest 100 million hits in the history of the website.

These 10 videos have altogether received more than 6.5 billion hits and attracted over 66 million subscribers.

Google also published Tuesday a list of the best videos on YouTube for the year, one of them featuring U.S. President Barack Obama reading ‘mean tweets’ about himself on the Jimmy Kimmel TV show, and another of a karaoke by Justin Bieber with TV host James Corden.
