Zoe Saldaña gets hitched in secret wedding

American actress Zoe Saldaña, best known for her roles in the 2009 films “Avatar” and “Star Trek,” married Italian artist Marco Perego in a secret wedding in June, Us Weekly magazine reported.

The ceremony was held in London and attended by only close friends and family, a source told the publication, saying “it was super small but very romantic and beautiful.”

Saldaña and Perego were first linked in midMay when they were seen kissing after the L.A. premiere of “Star Trek Into Darkness,” in which the American actress costarred.

According to the source, however, the two have known one another “for a long time.”

Saldaña, whose father is Dominican and mother is Puerto Rican, had been dating Bradley Cooper onandoff between the end of 2011 and the start of this year.

The actress had previously been engaged to Keith Britton, the CEO of My Fashion Database, but the two ended their 11year relationship in November 2011.

In April 2012, the normally reserved Saldaña said in an interview on the Lifetime Channel that she wanted to start a family.

“I’m Latin we start young, honey!” she told TV host Amanda de Cadenet. “At 22 you’re like, ‘I just wanna hold something!’ You want a little critter. I love the anxiety, the pressure of the loud room full of yapping kids. But I’m a kid myself.”

The 34yearold actress currently is shooting the upcoming film “Guardians of the Galaxy,” while “Out of the Furnace,” in which she stars alongside Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson, will hit U.S. theaters in December.
