Los Angeles Times “Sneaks Weekend” Touts Fall Films

LOS ANGELES, September 5, 2008 – It’s “Sneaks Weekend” as the Los Angeles Times (latimes.com) popular Sunday Calendar “Sneaks” franchise comes to multimedia life Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th. The Times, alongside KTLA (KTLA.com) and ReelzChannel (reelzchannel.com) give both Southland and national moviegoers a look at the season’s most highly-anticipated films with an integration of print, broadcast and online “Sneaks” coverage.

Kicking-off September 6th at 7:30pm and 11:00pm is KTLA-TV’s broadcast of “Los Angeles Times Fall Movie Sneaks,” a half-hour special co-hosted by the network’s award-winning entertainment reporter Sam Rubin and ReelzChannel’s Jill Simonian and produced by ReelzChannel. The Channel 5 show offers a diverse line-up of veteran Times entertainment writers including film critic Kenneth Turan, film writer John Horn, film editor Tim Swanson, pop culture writer Geoff Boucher and The Envelope’s (theenvelope.com) Sheigh Crabtree providing insight into what’s going to make the cineplex buzz, which movies promise to be crowd-pleasers and who might be early award contenders. All are wrapped around film clips ranging from the Coen brothers’ ” Burn After Reading” to Disney’s “HSM3 and from Oliver Stone’s “ W.” to Ridley Scott’s “ Body of Lies” with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe. ReelzChannel will rebroadcast the show beginning Sunday, September 7th at 7:30 pm and continuing through September 14th on DirecTV, Dish Network and Charter Cable (in the Los Angeles metro) and showtimes are available at reelzchannel.com.
