The Los Angeles Times has updated its registration system to be simpler and offer an enhanced social experience. With this new system, our old registration system is no longer valid. Everyone who was previously registered for latimes.com will have to re-register with this new system.
To start or manage newsletter subscriptions, go to your user profile. To get there, click on "Register" on the top left-hand corner of the latimes.com home page or the “Register” button on www.latimes.com/joinus and sign in using the login information you used to initially register. Once you’re signed in, click on your name on the top left-hand corner of the latimes.com home page to access your Account Profile. Inside your Account Profile, you will be able to add or manage your email newsletter subscriptions.
The Los Angeles Times worked with select online providers to simplify the registration process. Now you no longer have to create a separate online account for latimes.com. Just sign up with one of these online profiles and enjoy an enhanced social experience.
At present, you have to be registered with one of these online accounts in order to register on latimes.com. If you don’t already have an account with one of these providers, that’s OK. They’re free and easy to set up. Go to the main website for any of these providers and set up an account or click Get Signed up Today! on the registration login screen to set up a profile with Google
Check your email box. You may have received a verification email to confirm your registration with latimes.com. Open up that email and click on the link provided or copy and paste it into your browser to verify your account.
Look at the top left-hand corner of the latimes.com website. It should say “Hello YourUserName!”. Click on your username to access your account and manage your profile. If it says “Hello Visitor!”, this means you are not logged in. Click on Log In/Register to the right of it and log in using the same account you used to register.
Log in to your account and click on “Link Additional Accounts” just to the right of your e-mail address. From there, you can log in using any one of the other online profiles. Once you have linked additional accounts, you will be able to select any of the associated e-mail addresses from a drop-down menu.
At this time, registration is limited to e-mail accounts that are established with one of those six online profiles. If you don’t already have an account with one of these providers, that’s OK. They’re free and easy to set up. Go to the main website for any of these providers and set up an account or click Get Signed up Today! on the registration login screen to set up a profile with Google.
