Thousands of visitors will flock to South Florida this Memorial Day weekend. Drake, Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Trinidad James, Young Jeezy, DJ Khaled, Juelz Santana, NFL champ Bryant McKinnie and Ace Hood are among those hosting parties. But before you stack up your cooler and head over the traffic-ridden causeways, keep in mind Miami Beach Police have tightened security this year. There will be license plate readers placed nightly on MacArthur, Julia Tuttle and Venetian causeways, and on Friday, a DUI checkpoint will be enforced on the MacArthur Causeway from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday. In addition, South Beach's Ocean Drive will be closed to pedestrian traffic only Friday to Tuesday. Enjoy the Magic City and stay safe, my fellow club-goers.
