Attention, ladies: Tonight, Romeo Santos will be on the lookout for his Juliet, when the former frontman of the bachata band Aventura returns to Hard Rock Live.
The crooner, known for his sultry dance moves and smooth voice, will sing songs from his solo albums, last year's "The King Stays King: Sold Out at Madison Square Garden" and 2011's "Formula, Vol. 1".
Besides the sexy tunes, expect a provocative show from the Bronx native, who likes to pull ladies on stage for some bumping and grinding.
Santos recorded his first solo album in 2011, 17 years after he and his cousin Henry formed their band in New York. Aventura, hailed as the "kings of bachata," were known for taking their version of Dominican music to the mainstream. (Santos' father is from the Dominican Republic. His mother is Puerto Rican.) In 2002, their song "Obsesión" became a worldwide hit, topping the Billboard Latin charts. In 2010, the quartet broke up.
Santos often sings of love, sadness, romance and heartbreak. His recent hits include "Promise" (a duet with Usher), "Rival" and "La Diabla."
He will host an afterparty at Passion Nightclub.
Romeo Santos will perform 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, 5700 Seminole Way, in Hollywood. Tickets cost $79-$154. Go to HardRockLiveHollywoodFL.com.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
