Tuesday's Tenacious D show at the Fillmore Miami Beach will create a similar atmosphere: Jack Black's parody-rock act also garners attention for its stage antics. ($60-$80.25, LiveNation.com)
Hard Rock Live will keep things mellow on Wednesday, with a performance by Matchbox Twenty. ($63.50-$164.50, Ticketmaster.com)
The Festival of the Arts Boca at Mizner Park Amphitheater includes orchestras such as the Boca Raton Symphonia, performing Thursday. Miami's New World Symphony is on deck for Friday. Singer-actress Audra McDonald will play the festival Saturday. ($15-$90, FestivalOfTheArtsBoca.org)
The Cleveland Orchestra, meanwhile, will take a stab at Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Friday and Saturday at the Arsht Center in Miami. ($52-$172 plus fees, ArshtCenter.org)
But consider the implications of Ultra Music Festival's first weekend before heading to downtown Miami. The monster event will begin 5 p.m. Friday, and return noon Saturday and Sunday.
Look for a more-detailed preview of Ultra later this week in Showtime. Until then, here are a few acts to note: Nicolas Jaar, Araabmuzik, the Weeknd, SpaceGhostPurrp and Miami's Afrobeta. ($299.95-$1,449.90 plus fees at UltraMusicFestival.com)Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
