Legal Sea Foods (Town Center at Boca Raton, 6000 Glades Road, Boca Raton, 561-447-1212) has created two special presidential plates that honor the home and adopted states of each candidate.
The Obama Blue Plate entree features macadamia-coconut crusted mahi-mahi with roasted Brussels sprouts in a lime butter sauce. The president’s home state of Hawaii inspired mahi-mahi.
The Romney Red Plate entree is pan-seared cod with steamed spaghetti squash in bourbon lobster cream sauce. Cod is staple of Massachusetts where Romney was governor.
Both dishes are $25.95 and available starting Wednesday through November 5
“If there is anything that can get people to reach across the aisle — or the table, in this instance — it’s one of these deliciously partisan plates,” said Roger Berkowitz, president and CEO of Legal Sea Foods in a press release. “Whether you lean left, stand in the middle or are to the right, both these seafood choices will get your vote.”Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
