Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Opens on IMAX Nov. 7
FORT LAUDERDALE -- The Autonation IMAX will screen the animated sequel to Madagascar from Nov. 7 thorugh Dec. 11. In Escape 2 Africa, Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria, King Julien, Maurice and the penguins and chimps fly an old, crashed plane that's been repaired by penguins to the plains of Africa, where the members of the zoo-raised crew encounter species of their own kind for the first time.
During opening weekend, the Museum of Discovery and Science will celebrate with a mask-making activity and a presentation about the animals of Madagascar.

WHAT: Behind the Mask. During celebrations, initiations, crop harvesting, war preparation, peace and troubled times, African masks are worn by a chosen dancer. Masks often represent a spirit and it is strongly believed that the spirit of the ancestors possess the wearer. Design your own mask to take home.
WHEN: Nov. 7-9, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
WHAT: King Julien's Animal Adventure. More than 80 percent of the plants and animals found on Madagascar are not found anywhere else on Earth. In this presentation, you'll learn about the odd animals that call Madagascar home.
