Vacuuming robot

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. staff Satomi Kuwayama uses a conventional style vacuum cleaner while the Japanese electronics maker's vacuum-cleaning robot cleans the carpet during its demonstration at a press conference in Tokyo Monday, March 25, 2002. Slightly bigger than a basketball, the box-shaped unnamed test model, that still crashes into chair legs and leaves lots of corners unswept, is set to go on sale in two or three years with a hefty price tag of 500,000 yen ($3,800).
