On Saturday, when the Norton Museum of Art opened the doors of its new wing, it officially became the largest museum in the state. The opening caps a period of dramatic growth for the West Palm Beach museum and for other art museums throughout South Florida. This is a view from inside the Harris Family pavillion in the new wing. The glass ceiling is made of 693 pieces of glass art by artist Dale Chihuly in an ocean theme. The glass walls have an exterior waterfall that flows into a pond.
