Archbishop McCarthy girls' soccer team hosting "Kick Sarcoma" fundraiser at Thursday's match

When the Archbishop McCarthy girls soccer team takes the field Thursday for a match against Coral Springs Charter, the Mavericks are hoping they do more than just pick up a win.

The team is hosting its third annual "Kick Sarcoma" match against the Jaguars with all the proceeds benefiting the Sarcoma Foundation.

The team is hosting a raffle and bake sale at the match, as well as selling $3 bracelets.

According to the Archdiocese of Miami, the team raised more than $12,000 last year as part of its Kick Sarcoma match and its participation in a Sarcoma Walk fundraiser.

Thursday's game against Coral SpringsCharter is set to begin at 6:00 at Archbishop McCarthy.
