Aspen to announce top community college Tuesday, Broward College in running

Broward College will find out Tuesday whether it’s the recipient of an award for the nation’s top community college, and the $1 million prize that goes with it.

The Aspen Institute, a Washington, D.C.-based education policy group, named Broward College as one of the top 10 community colleges in September. The winner will be announced at a ceremony at noon Tuesday in Washington. You can watch a live webcast here.

Florida actually has two schools in the running, the other being Santa Fe College in Gainesville.
