Framed, Chapter 1: She was the PTA mom everyone knew. Who would want to harm her?

The house at 795 NW 58th St., Miami, was awarded to LaSalle Bank in December 2008 in a foreclosure auction. In July 2011, the judge threw out the title and said a short sale had to be completed in 60 days. In September 2011, the court dismissed the foreclosure suit at the bank's request. As of late April 2012, however, Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser records still showed it in the bank's hands. The discrepancy points to the difficulty local code enforcement officials have in identifying responsible owners.
