Lison Dube, of Hollywood is Mademoiselle Quebec during the annual CanadaFest on Hollywood Beach. A Sun Sentinel analysis found more than 18,000 Canadians owned homes in Broward as of 2011 triple the number from just five years earlier. Canadian tourism grew by about 10 percent in Broward County last year, with an estimated 920,000 Canadian visitors. In fact, Canada is Broward's top international tourism market, according to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau.
