Responding deputies arrived at a Chipolte Mexican Grill in Kissimmee and spoke with restaurant's manager who told them security notified them the door had been broken, according to a news release from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
And more than $7,500 was missing from the safe.
Deputies arrested Abraham Ali, 26, an assistant manager at the restaurant for the crime based on evidence they had obtained and charged him with Burglary, Grand Theft and Providing False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer During an Investigation.
During questioning, he got grilled and reportedly provided conflicting statements to detectives.
Chipolte boasts of their commitment to 'food with integrity' on their website.
No so with their managers, apparently.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
