Cleaning woman stole ring worth $45K, deputies say

They're supposed to clean your home — not clean you out.

Rosemary Gato, who worked for a cleaning company, was busted for allegedly stealing a 5.33-carat diamond ring worth $45,000 while cleaning a client's house, according to Collier County Sheriff's Office reports, reports WZVN ABC-7 News in Fort Myers.

The homeowner told deputies she put the ring away before the cleaning woman arrived and when the cleaning woman left the ring was missing, reports state.


Gato reportedly 'fessup up and returned the ring to the victim.
