Deputies: Man landed in jail after posting Facebook threat | FloriDUH's Fave Facebook Fools

William Hofer, 20, is in the slammer after being accused of penning threats to kill or do bodily harm to Matanzas High School students on his Facebook page, according to a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Because of his alleged actions, three Flagler County school campuses had heightened security throughout the school day.

Hofer, a former Daytona State College student, is a 2011 graduate of Flagler Palm Coast High School.

He also reportedly stated in his posting that he had recently lost a "brother."

But detectives determined that the brother which Hofer was referring to was an acquaintance who was killed recently in a home invasion in Putnam County, the release stated.
