William Hofer, 20, is in the slammer after being accused of penning threats to kill or do bodily harm to Matanzas High School students on his Facebook page, according to a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
Because of his alleged actions, three Flagler County school campuses had heightened security throughout the school day.
Hofer, a former Daytona State College student, is a 2011 graduate of Flagler Palm Coast High School.
He also reportedly stated in his posting that he had recently lost a “brother.”
But detectives determined that the brother which Hofer was referring to was an acquaintance who was killed recently in a home invasion in Putnam County, the release stated.
