Ritchie Valens

Ritchie Valens was a Mexican-American singer, songwriter. Valens was a Rock and Roll pioneer who had a string of hits in the 1950's. His hits included La Bamba, Come on let's go and Donna. Valens died in a plane crash in 1959. His death inspired Don McLean to compose "American Pie." February 3, is known by many as the "day the music died."USstampgallery.com
