Mayoral candidate claims someone is using voodoo on her | Video

Anna Pierre, a North Miami mayoral candidate, want folks from three different coountries to send prayres her way because, she said, someone is trying to use Haitian Vodou, which is also known as voodoo, to get her out of the race, reports The Miami Herald.

Chicken feathers, food scraps, dolls with needles in them, pennies and candles were found at her office doorstep for the past few month -- items she believe are tied to Haitian Vodou rituals, according to the report.

Check out Pierre's YouTube video of her singing 'Mete Suk Sou Bonbon' below.

Don't believe in voodoo?

It seems to be a highly effective way of getting folks behind bars:
Riviera Beach: Man jailed after assaulting girlfriend for 'casting spells,' cops say
Orlando: No bail for man who blamed voodoo after fatal stabbing
West Palm Beach: Man celebrating his birthday smashed neighbor's window with a rock to get the "voodoo" spell off of him
Fort Walton Beach: Woman's ‘Voodoo Festival’' pipe loses its magic
Fort Myers: Man wants his hotel back from his Santeria spiritual adviser
