Brandon Barnes wins Isle's main event, $212K

Brandon Barnes of Taylor, Mich., took home the trophy and $212,500 Monday in the Florida State Poker Championships main event at the Isle Casino and Racing in Pompano Beach.

The $5,300 buy-in drew 188 players. The final four players, including WPT Hard Rock Poker Showdown champ Tommy Vedes, chopped up the top prize money, based on chip count. Barnes also had some success at the WPT series, in a three-way chop for first in a $2K event. He also finished third in an earlier event in the Isle series this month.
