With National Signing Day quickly approaching, it's not just high school football players weighing their college options.
According to Cougars coach Max Ruback, four members of the Coconut Creek girls basketball team have earned interest from schools across the country and could decide soon where they'll play after graduation.
Ruback said that guard Andrekia Thompson, who last week notched the 1,000th point of her high school career, is considering offers from Florida Memorial, Barry, Johnson and Wales and a number of other programs including Wilberforce and St. Augustine. Thompson, who is 5-foot-7 is averaging 12. points and 5.7 points per game.
Guard Joelle Patterson, who is averaging 7.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game, is considering offers from Wilberforce, St. Augustine, Piedmont, and Maine-Machias, among others while guard Shamari Josey has earned interest from Clearwater Christian, Valley Forge, Thomas University and St. Augustine among others. She's averaging 9.2 points and 4.4 rebounds.
