Man accused of traveling to hook-up with girl, age 11

Get a clue, dude.

If you're online and think you're chatting with a mom or aunt who is looking for a middle-aged man to hook-up with their adolescent daughter or niece, or as it's called - a little 'family fun' - well, think again.

On Thursday undercover computer crimes detectives nabbed an Auburndale man during "Operation Cardea" in Seminole County. The sting netted deputies a total of 50 arrests, according to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Dennis Ray Steelman, 52, was one of them.

Steelman had been chatting online with whom he thought was an aunt looking for someone to "teach" her 11-year-old niece,  a
ccording to the affidavit
When Steelman then allegedly agreed to travel from Auburndale to Davenport to have sex with the 11-year-old girl, he was busted and booked into the Polk County Jail.
Steelman has been charged with 1 count Traveling to Meet a Minor; 1 count Use of Computer to Solicit a Guardian to Consent to Sexual Conduct (F-3); 1 count Use of Two-Way Communication Device to Commit a Felony (F-3); and 1 count Sexual Battery on a Minor Under 12 Years of Age (F-Capital).

Who is dumb enough to fall for such a thing?

Plenty of men.
