Mega-lobbyist Ron Book of Plantation is near the top of the list of Florida influencers, at least based on the amount of money he takes in and his client list, which includes Fort Lauderdale-based AutoNation, which runs those "who ya gonna call" ads.

Florida Trend magazine ran the numbers, and put Book at No. 3 on its list. The Broward resident has offices in Aventura and Tallahassee. Based on public filings, the magazine put Book's 2012 revenue at more than $5 million.

No. 4 on the list is Colodny Fass Talenfeld Karlinsky Abate Webb, with offices in Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee and revenue of $4 million to $8 million.Lobbyists are only required to report in ranges.

Here's the full Florida Trend piece. Plenty of other law and lobbying firms with Fort Lauderdale offices are on the multi-million-dollar list.

To whet your appetite a bit more, here's what the listing had for Book. It's not a complete listing, by any means. Book is a lobbyist for Broward County government, for example, and he also represents clients before Broward County government.
