Norwegian said it will offer a variety of energetic Zumba classes on every cruise, which will be led by licensed Zumba instructors who are part of the Zumba instructor network.
"We are excited to bring Zumba Fitness onboard our ships and offer guests not just a new way to work out, but an exhilarating and easy-to-follow dance fitness-party," Norwegian CEO Kevin Sheehan said, in a statement.
The Latin-inspired fitness program was launched in 2001 when Colombian creator Alberto "Beto" Perez, took the concept to Miami. Beto and two partners later formed Zumba Fitness in 2001 and have parlayed the company into the largest branded fitness program worldwide with some 14 million people taking weekly classes in more than 150 countries, according to Zumba.com.
