Shark Valley's big attraction is gators

About 400,000 people a year come to Shark Valley to hike, bird-watch, or ride via tram or bicycle around the 15-mile paved loop. It ranks among South Florida's leading spots for such a getaway. Oh, and you get to see lots of gators. Shark Valley is part of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLCUL000145" title="Everglades National Park" href="/topic/travel/tourism-leisure/gardens-parks/everglades-national-park-PLCUL000145.topic">Everglades National Park</a>, located along Tamiami Trail (US 41) near the Miami Dade-Collier County line.
