About 400,000 people a year come to Shark Valley to hike, bird-watch, or ride via tram or bicycle around the 15-mile paved loop. It ranks among South Florida's leading spots for such a getaway. Oh, and you get to see lots of gators. Shark Valley is part of Everglades National Park, located along Tamiami Trail (US 41) near the Miami Dade-Collier County line.
