Atwater said he didn't receive input from utility representatives and didn't tell senators which way to vote on PSC appointees this year, but he said he did tell some on the PSC nominating council to refrain from attending events with utility representatives as they prepared to make their decisions. He didn't know about his nephew's job until after he got it, according to his campaign spokesman.
