These South Florida shopping malls are very kid-friendly.
19501 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura
For a deluxe shopping, dining and entertainment experience, families in the know head to the Aventura Mall. Someone definitely had fun in mind when designing this expansive complex. It is chock-full of child-friendly stores including Oilily, Gap Kids, Zara, Limited Too, Cheeky Baby and Kids, and AbercrombieKids. Aisles of distraction can be found at Animation, The Disney Store, and Sanrio. Refuel with any number of great dining options in the food court or take a seat at one of nine restaurants including Johnny Rockets. Run off that milk shake at Adventure Cove, the mall's pirate-themed indoor playground. Aventura Mall offers additional perks for kids with various seasonal events, character Wednesday with special guests leading singing, dancing and playtime, and a Kids Club offering discounts and priority seating for special events. Top it off with a movie at the AMC theaters and you're sure to have some satisfied kids on your hands.

The Mall at Wellington Green
10300 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington
"The mall with the fruit" is a favorite with families. It is a sprawling and elegant shopping extravaganza with a terrific food court and great sit-down dining options. But what keeps moms and their highly charged offspring coming back is a soft-play playground with a fruit theme for little ones just itching to jump out of the stroller and blow off some steam. The Mall at Wellington Green has stores to please every member of the family from Baby Gap to AbercrombieKids to Nordstrom. There's also an incredible assortment of photography studios, Cartoon Cuts, and, last but not least, Hagen Daaz and Ben and Jerry's.
Boynton Beach Mall
801 N. Congress Ave., Boynton Beach
Kids not big on shopping? Two words: Wannado City. It's an indoor role-playing theme park in the mall -- what a smart concept. Wannado City invites children ages 3 to 13, and allows parents to drop off kids 8 and up for $6 per hour. This rambling complex is also host to Game Works and an AMC theater complex. As if all this weren't enough, there's Muggsy's Meadow Kids Club offering discounts and previews of upcoming family events. Oh, and if you like to shop, there's just about every outlet you can think of in this truly enormous mall. Wear your walking shoes. Rainforest Cafe completes the day with a hearty meal and smile.
