Shake Shack, which bills itself as the modern day “roadside” burger stand, opened its latest South Florida location Monday at Boca Raton's University Commons shopping center.
Shake Shack’s menu includes burgers, hot dogs, beer and wine. The new burger joint is located at 1400 Glades Rd.
Shake Shack began as a food cart in Madison Square Park in New York in the mid 2000s. The company, part of Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, now also has locations in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., in addition to New York, according to its website.
In South Florida, Shake Shack restaurants can also be found in South Beach and Coral Gables.
