The brightest senior talents in Broward County soccer played their final high school game Thursday night at Ft. Lauderdale's Lockhart Stadium. The BCAA Senior All-Star Soccer games gave seniors a last chance to impress college scouts.
The South Broward girls all-star team edged the North 2-1. Everglades Jessica Killbride had the winning score in the 77th minute off a cross from Cypress Bay's Eva Leeper to lift the South. Hollywood Hill's Amanda Sacullo also scored off an assist from Pembroke Pines Charter's Brianni Lorenzo for the South. Plantation's Katie Zetler had an unassisted goal in the fifth minute for the North. MVP's were Jen Crittenburger (Cardinal Gibbons) and Leeper.
The top senior boys played to a scoreless stalemate immediately afterwards. The North MVP was Boyd Anderson's Jason Heywood. Taking home the honor for the south was Flanagan's Luis-Carlos Ledezma.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
