After a decade as a news reporter in New Jersey, Southern California, Chicago and South Broward, Sarah Talalay decided to trade in covering meetings about city government and schools for meetings about sports deals and stadium finance.
Since September 1999, she has covered such sports business issues as sponsorship- and naming-rights deals, sports marketing and advertising, shoes, ticket sales, labor issues and the Marlins' ongoing quest for a new ballpark.
A native of Baltimore, she attended New York University as an undergraduate and Northwestern University for graduate school. In addition to watching sports, she swims, reads books and watches movies that aren't about sports, visits art museums, listens to music and bakes chocolate desserts.
