Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious, born John Simon Ritchie, and groupie Nancy Spurgeon had a tumultuous relationship marked by violence and heroin abuse beginning in 1977. A year later, Sid woke up to find Nancy on the bathroom floor, dead of a stab wound inflicted by a knife he owned. He was arrested, charged with murder and subsequently bailed out. Sid then attempted suicide by slicing his wrists and became a patient at Bellevue hospital. Once he was released, a party was held at his new girlfriend's house, where he was later found, dead of a heroin overdose. It still hasn't been determined who killed Nancy Spurgen.
