Embattled FEMA chief resigns

Embattled FEMA chief resigns Federal Emergency Management Agency director Mike Brown resigned on Sept. 12, three days after losing his onsite command of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. The White House picked R. David Paulison, head of FEMA's emergency preparedness force, as his replacement.
