'Depression Bread Line' by George Segal

George Segal's life-size painted plaster, wood, and metal sculpture "Depression Bread Line," 1991, at the Hirshhorn Museum in Washington in March 1998. Segal used himself as the model for the second person from the left in the piece that depicts a line of unemployed workers in a food line. Segal created plaster casts of live models in layers of plaster-soaked bandages.
