Incredible escalator malfunction in Washington DC

Check out this surveillance video from the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station stop in Washington, DC. About 30 seconds in you'll see the escalator speed up, sending dozens of people falling to the ground. This incident reportedly happened on November 4th following the Stewart/Colbert "Rally to Restore Sanity" event. Several people were injured. An investigation determined the cause of the incident was a failure in the braking system.
