Late-night construction projects by Caltrans and Metrolink begin in Burbank

Burbank commuters will need to plan accordingly this month as construction projects in the city will see temporary streets closures for the next several weeks.

City officials announced that, from now until Oct. 27, a portion of Alameda Avenue will be closed between Flower and Lake streets as a result of ongoing Caltrans construction along the Golden State (5) Freeway. The closure will occur every night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Several onramps and offramps will be closed during this time, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.

Drivers will also need to contend with partial lane closures on San Fernando Road at North Hollywood Way as Metrolink begins late-night work on its new station just north of Hollywood Burbank Airport. Late-night construction will occur every night for the next four weeks and will last from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
