A woman was arrested last Friday evening after she was found in possession of a stolen vehicle, according to police.

Lancaster resident Norma Cruz, 36, was driving a 2016 Lexus IS 200 with a male passenger near Tulare Avenue and Parish Place when officers stopped the vehicle at around 7:10 p.m., according to Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

The vehicle matched the description of a car reported stolen from an El Monte Lexus dealership.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found several items including a GPS unit, a pair of cellphones and paperwork from the dealership. The items appeared to have been stolen, Losacco said.

Officers also found the vehicle had been loaded with suitcases, packed with personal items and food.

Security footage from the dealership shows a woman appearing to be Cruz take the vehicle from the lot, according to Losacco.
