A 23-year-old Los Angeles woman was arrested Monday in connection with stealing teachers’ credit cards last month from classrooms at three elementary schools, two of which were in Burbank, police said.

The woman, Morgan Aissa Woods, was charged with six counts of identity theft involving three victims, and seven counts of second degree commercial burglary, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

Woods reportedly used the stolen credit cards at Target stores in Burbank, Glendale, North Hollywood and Alhambra, according to the criminal complaint.

She was identified after Burbank police released surveillance photos of her at Target stores and someone recognized her, according to Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

When she was questioned, Woods reportedly admitted her involvement in the crimes committed in Burbank and elsewhere.

Woods, who has prior convictions for credit-card fraud and resisting an executive officer, is being held in lieu of $175,000 bail. She is slated to be arraigned Wednesday.

Last month, police arrested a person of interest in the case on an outstanding warrant, but investigators don’t believe she was involved in the school burglaries. She was not identified.
