Sports Roundup: Burroughs boys’ basketball topples Glendale


Burroughs 81, Glendale 70: Burroughs won its second Pacific League game in three days on Wednesday at home.


The Indians improved to 11-5, 2-2 in league.

Arcadia 58, Burbank 54 (overtime): Tough times in the Pacific League continued Wednesday for the Bulldogs, who lost on the road and fell to 11-6, 1-3 in league with their third consecutive defeat.

Trailing 40-36 after three quarters, Burbank rallied to go ahead 54-52 before the game went to overtime and the Bulldogs were shut out.

St. Monica 85, Bellarmine-Jefferson 40: Playing for the first time since Dec. 1, the Guards opened Camino Real League play with a loss despite 18 points from Austin Boyd.

Ryan Tolentino added 12 points and Canaan Williams chipped in with seven for Bell-Jeff (0-6).


Glendale 30, Burroughs 29: The Indians lost their first Pacific League game Wednesday evening on the road.

Burroughs is 12-6, 3-1 in league.
