Sports Roundup: Burbank boys’ golf finishes third in league match

BOYS’ GOLF

Burbank, Burroughs in Pacific League match No. 5: The Bulldogs placed third and the Indians were fourth in the match Thursday at Hansen Dam Golf Course.

Arcadia (365) won the match and was followed by Crescenta Valley (410), Burbank (424) and Burroughs (434).

The Bulldogs were led by Cole Pendarvis, who fired a nine-over-par 81. He was followed by Nick Toczek (84), Benjamin Kim (86), Hayden Chase (86) and Nico Coccio (87).

The Indians scorers were Louis D’Aquilla (79), Rob Ceja (85), Aaron Cohen (86), Myles Sherry (89) and Jake Panikowski (95).

BOYS’ TENNIS

Burbank 10, Pasadena 8: James Lee earned a sweep from his No. 1 singles spot to lead the Bulldogs to a Pacific League win Thursday at home.

Burbank is 8-4, 7-3 in league.

Crescenta Valley 12, Burroughs 6: The Indians (1-10 in league) dropped the Pacific League match Thursday afternoon on the road.

GIRLS’ SWIMMING

Crescenta Valley 128, Burroughs 35: The Indians fell to the host Falcons Thursday afternoon in a Pacific League meet.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Burroughs d. Glendale, 25-17, 25-10, 25-20: The Indians ran their Pacific League winning streak to 50 matches Wednesday against the host Nitros.

Conner Ludlum had 10 kills, Anton Prather added nine kills, Jose Solano had 25 assists and Sam Tipton had 16 digs for Burroughs (11-6, 7-0 in league).
