Sports Roundup: Burbank boys’ basketball posts win over Crescenta Valley

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Burbank 81, Crescenta Valley 67: Burbank rolled to a Pacific League home win Tuesday. The Bulldogs improved to 16-10, 6-7 in league.

Pasadena 95, Burroughs 69: The visiting Indians fell Tuesday in a Pacific League contest. Burroughs dipped to 13-13, 3-10 in league.

Lycee International of Los Angeles 59, Sequoyah 21: The Lions improved to 5-6, 5-4 in the International League with the win Monday afternoon at Olive Park Recreation Center.

Providence 77, Canoga Park Armenian General Benevolent Union 42: The Pioneers wrapped up Independence League play with a win Monday on the road.

The Pioneers are 17-9, 7-3 in league.

Bishop Amat 87, Bellarmine-Jefferson 19: The Guards lost Monday on the road in Camino Real League play and dropped to 0-15, 0-9 in league with game left.

The Guards will play their final game in program history on Wednesday at St. Genevieve. Bell-Jeff played its final home game on Friday and lost to La Salle, 86-30.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Crescenta Valley 51, Burbank 35: The visiting Bulldogs fell Tuesday in a Pacific League contest. The Bulldogs dipped to 10-17, 5-8 in league.

Lycee International of Los Angeles 31, Judson 16: The Lions improved to 6-7 in the International League with the win Tuesday afternoon at Olive Recreation Center.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Glendale 4, Burbank 0: Burbank suffered a Pacific League road defeat Tuesday. The Bulldogs are 1-12-2, 0-9-2 in league.

Providence 10, Yeshiva 0: Micaella Haban scored five goals to pace the Pioneers to an Independence League victory Monday at Occidental College.

Kelly Fitzgerald added two goals and Cecile Habash had three assists for league champion Providence (11-2-1, 7-1 in league).

BOYS’ SOCCER

Burroughs 4, Muir 3: The Indians, who have wrapped up a playoff spot but are tied for second in the Pacific League with Arcadia heading into the regular season finale on Thursday, collected a victory Tuesday at home.

Manny Gonzalez scored two goals for the Indians.

Burroughs is 14-8-1, 8-4-1 in league.

Providence 5, Yeshiva 0: Bryan Ortiz had three goals and Elias Ferguson added two goals and an assist to pace the Pioneers to an Independence League win Saturday on the road.

Glendale 2, Burbank 1: The Bulldogs fell Tuesday on the road in Pacific League action and were eliminated from an automatic playoff berth in the process.

Burbank is 5-8-4, 4-7-2 in league for 14 points, which trails fourth-place Pasadena’s 18 points.
