Pacific Symphony youth arts camp moves to Concordia University

The Pacific Symphony's arts-X-press youth summer arts camp has a new home this July at Concordia University. The camp, founded in 2001, is dedicated to the son of Pacific Symphony conductor Carl St.Clair, left.

Arts-X-press, a youth arts program organized by the Pacific Symphony, has a new home this July at Concordia University in Irvine.

The camp was previously held at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa.

Arts-X-press, now in its 17th year, will serve 150 seventh- and eighth-grade students “with a safe and encouraging environment for exploring their love of the arts,” according to a news release.

Three camps are planned this summer to have 50 students each. The first is July 8 to 12, followed by others from July 15 to 19 and July 22 to 26. Participating students will stay on the Concordia campus through the week.

Tuition is $725. Financial aid is available.

Arts-X-press was founded in 2001 in remembrance of Pacific Symphony conductor Carl St.Clair’s 18-month-old son, Cole Carsan St.Clair.
